I am a researcher and academic entrepreneur who believes in the potential of music and the arts to tackle significant societal challenges.

My scholarly expertise and interests include social justice and democratic education, inclusive education, critical disability studies, critical adult education and gerontology, policy studies, critical theory, applied soft systems thinking, and higher music education.

I am a university researcher at the University of the Arts Helsinki. I work as a lecturer, public speaker, mentor, and facilitator in various contexts. I am an Academy Research Fellow appointed by the Research Council of Finland (2023-2027), leading a project: Performing the Political: Public Pedagogy in Higher Music Education.

I am also the founder and CEO of RockHubs, a social enterprise that helps to build accessible, intergenerational music communities in urban environments.
