I am a researcher and academic entrepreneur who believes in the potential of music and the arts to tackle major challenges in our society.

My scholarly expertise and interests are in inclusive education, critical disability studies, critical adult education and gerontology, policy studies, critical theory, creative systems thinking, higher education, and sociology of music, among others.

Currently, I am leading the Academy of Finland-funded post-doctoral research project (2019-2022): The Transformative Politics of Music Education in an Ageing Society at CERADA, University of the Arts Helsinki. I work as a lecturer, public speaker, mentor, and facilitator in various contexts.

I am also the founder and CEO of RockHubs, a social enterprise that helps to build accessible, intergenerational music communities in urban environments.
